Seattle extremism continues to spread north, pushing its unrealistic and unwanted agenda on the hard-working people of the 42nd District.
My opponent, Sharon Shewmake, represents Seattle's values more than those of Whatcom County. "Seattle Sharon" is out of touch with the majority of the people, small businesses and vital industries which form our community.
I love Whatcom County. But I don’t love Seattle’s influence. My opponent votes to expand government, raise taxes, damage parental rights, intrude on the 2nd amendment, over regulate and devalue human life.
Let’s not forget she abandoned our Cherry Point industries during a critical vote.
These are the reasons I am in this race. We need to take back our government from extremists of all kinds who are pushing Seattle's agenda rather than working for us.
When elected, I’ll represent Whatcom County residents. I will oppose an ever-growing state budget and the tax increases it requires, many of which benefit Seattle at our expense. I will fight to invest our tax dollars in local roads and bridges rather than fund Seattle mass transit, and I will stand solidly with the will of the voters who demanded $30 car tabs.
